Our Story
Steeped in rich history and rustic charm, our story begins over a century ago with the construction of the farmhouse in 1892. A testament to the enduring craftsmanship of yesteryears, this historic homestead served as a steadfast anchor for generations of families, embodying the pioneering spirit of the Dutch immigrants who settled in Sheboygan County in the 1840s.
In the shadow of the farmhouse, our iconic barn stands, its exact construction date is unknown but believed to have risen shortly after the farmhouse's construction. A symbol ofthe property's agricultural heritage, the barn witnessed the ebb and flow of seasons, echoing with the laughter of children and the toil of farmers.
In 2019, a new chapter began as the property embarked on a transformative journey. Fuelled by a passion for preservation and a vision for revitalization, the farmhouse and barn were lovingly restored to their former glory, marrying the timeless allure of the past with the contemporary comforts of the present.
Today, Blue Barn on the Green stands as a testament to the enduring legacy of the land and the indomitable spirit of those who have called it home. We invite you to become a part of our history and create memories that will endure for generations to come.
