Our Story

A cropped view showing the lush green lawn with a pavillion and the blue barn in the back ground

Steeped in rich history and rustic charm, our story begins over a century ago with the construction of the farmhouse in 1892. A testament to the enduring craftsmanship of yesteryears, this historic homestead served as a steadfast anchor for generations of families, embodying the pioneering spirit of the Dutch immigrants who settled in Sheboygan County in the 1840s.

In the shadow of the farmhouse, our iconic barn stands, its exact construction date is unknown but believed to have risen shortly after the farmhouse's construction. A symbol ofthe property's  agricultural heritage, the barn witnessed the ebb and flow of seasons, echoing with the laughter of children and the toil of farmers.

In 2019, a new chapter began as the property embarked on a transformative journey. Fuelled by a passion for preservation and a vision for revitalization, the farmhouse and barn were lovingly restored to their former glory, marrying the timeless allure of the past with the contemporary comforts of the present.

Today, Blue Barn on the Green stands as a testament to the enduring legacy of the land and the indomitable spirit of those who have called it home. We invite you to become a part of our history and create memories that will endure for generations to come.

What our Guests are Saying...

Amy & Andy

The most magical, perfect venue we could've imagined for our wedding! The property is absolutely gorgeous and we had nothing but compliments from our guests on the venue. It allowed us to do rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception all on the same property, as well as we were able to stay int he farmhouse on the property for the weekend. With rental from Thurs-Sun, we had plenty of time to get things set up and did not feel rushed. The owner, Jeff, was great with communication, very helpful, and always thinking about ways to improve guests' experience! The day-of coordinator, Jessica, was absolutely fantastic! She took so much stress off the day-of and went above and beyond to make sure everything looked great and everyone was where they needed to be when they needed to be. The most amazing people, am most amazing venue! Would recommend 100 times over. Thank you Blue Barn on the Green!
